I was not bad at Guitar Hero (didn't try any harder than medium though). Maybe knowing how to actually play trips you up a bit when you're playing?? I dunno. But I want to play more. :) And I will never play a guitar ever in my life, I'm sure. :)

Maybe I won't even put my picture up there. If I do anything I'll keep it professional. I think if I were an employer I would be savvy enough to look people up. That sounds like fun investigative work!

I just read this article today about how employers find job candidates' unflattering Facebook profiles... Not that I think any readers of this blog would be THAT STUPID to post drunken pictures of themselves alongside their NAME, but I just think it's interesting that employers are getting savvy enough to look up people on these social networking sites.

Actually, now that Facebook is open to the public rather than restricted to individuals with university/college e-mail addresses, the number of older Facebookers is rapidly growing. I don't have the statistics in front of me, but it's quite the buzz in the world of people who discuss the future of social media. Many of the leading professionals in the corporate communications field are on Facebook and advocating it as a necessary place to be if you're running a business in the rapidly changing and growing social media world. I could point you to some people on Facebook who were born in the 50s and 60s even.

What I wonder is how long each various social media outlet manages to keep its own identity while they're all competing for the same available user group? With MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, SecondLife, and many more... how long before we start seeing mergers that change the face of individual outlets?

See... these are the crazy things you ponder when you read too many marketing/communications blogs and books. And yes, I realize I am a dork. :-)

But, if you ever decide you're using Facebook more frequently, add me as a friend. Beware the Facebook addiction though.
