Just a stargazer

Yesterday was 04/05/06. That was exciting enough and fun to write, but then some nerd kid at Wash U had to make a big deal out of 1:23! And sadly, I didn’t even think about it.

Then I found out that someone I know sat around on July 8, 1990 with some kind of atomic clock at 12:34… it only happens once a century. And I missed that one too.

I do remember driving the car to watch it turn 100,000 miles… I’m not sure, but I think we at least tried to drive it backwards to see if we could watch it again. It was an old car from the early 80s or late 70s… did odometers really turn backwards in the past?

I took a picture of my brother’s car when I visited him in Phoenix and borrowed his car, taking it over 60,000 miles. I sent the picture to his camera phone so he could find out what he missed when I was driving his car.

To top it all off, as if I wasn’t showing enough evidence of my nerdiness above, I am going to get married on my 10,001st day. It’s a palindrome. In the meantime, I’ll try to enjoy the rest of my 10,000 days as a single person and update my blog at least as often as once every 30 days.
