Seaweed

Filed under: General — stargazer @ 9:44 am

I ate seaweed last night. Yich! What does seaweed taste like, you ask? Ocean. It tastes like ocean in solid form. I don’t care for the taste of ocean and I will not be eating seaweed again anytime soon. I never much liked those sushi rolls that come wrapped in dry seaweed either, but I will still tolerate that.

I’ve been eating a lot of Chineese food lately (including seaweed just that one time). Mostly the food consists of tofu, egg, celery, and noodles or rice. It’s tasty and good for you too! It is almost the first time I’ve been able to enjoy cooking for myself. I’ve never been a fan of cooking at all, but I will actually take the time to make decent food to eat. This is a first for me.

Well, happy Monday! In a few hours St. Louis will be enjoying our “hurricane season.” They’re saying that the winds from Hurricane Dennis are still above 30mph and it will rain off and on here for a couple days (an unsettling change of pace from the perfect sunny hot weather we’ve had every day in the last month and a half, but the rain is much needed).

  1. Hi – I came upon your blog during a random search on the Internet.
And you know what? I saw the word Kirksville in one of your early posts…are we talking about NEMSU aka Truman State? Heck, remember KCOM?
I miss St. Louis too, which you write about…particularly Union Station, The Loop and Lacledes Landing…feels weird writing about it from so many thousands of miles away.
Keep up the good work – I’ll come and read your posts every few days.
    Enjoy your summer.
