I think I’m gonna go see “RENT” on Friday for the 9th time. Can it really be that many times? Let’s see… 1) St. Louis (3/98), 2) NYC (5/98), 3) NYC (6/98), 4) Kansas City (8/98), 5) Memphis (12/98), 6)London (9/99), 7) St. Louis (with my ‘rents), 
Columbia (12/01). Yep. Nine times. It’s just been awhile. How do you measure a year? There for a little while it was in times I saw “Rent.”
This time around, it appears I’ll be getting a “comp” ticket (how many tickets weren’t comped), so to speak, from my mom, so “we’re not gonna pay…”

I lost track on my rent viewings, but i think i’m behind you. Let’s see…STL, KC, NY second row, NY balcony, NY standing room, STL, and STL. So…7, I guess. Pretty close to yours, but still no cigar.

YAY, RENT!! I wish I had seen it that many times. Only once for me, in St. Louis in December of 2000. On crutches, trying to maneuver through icy streets of St. Louis. But it was TOTALLY worth it. We were in second row orchestra. The actors were practically sweating on us. It was awesome. You lucky dog, you. Have fun!

um, nobody kill me for this, okay… i haven’t seen rent. that’s right, i haven’t seen rent. add it to the really long list of plays/movies/etc i should have seen and haven’t. i had plans to see it. multiple times. and something – illness, sell outs, etc. – got in the way each time. eventually i’ll get around to it, but i don’t think not seeing it yet is going to kill me.

i haven’t seen it either, but I’m going on Sunday. The strange bit is that I have the soundtrack memorized even though I’ve never actually seen the show — two different roommates played the soundtrack pretty much nonstop, so I got to learn all the songs. I’m pretty excited about it.

Daniel, unfortunately the tour will not be coming anywhere near Denver anytime soon. The cities are mostly in the north east and are posted through March 20. Sorry!
