Octopus and Avacados

Filed under: General — stargazer @ 5:13 pm

Last night, I had the wonderful privelege of going out to a sushi restaurant. The dinner was so amazing! I’ve never had much of a taste for fish, especially of the raw variety, but it sure was delicious. The company was fabulous too.

So you will not believe some of this stuff I ate! (well maybe you will.) I got some kind of sampler and I had tuna, crab, squid, some scaly herring thing, seaweed, wasabi, and OCTOPUS. Ew! It had tentacle looking things on it. Very scary… and it was kind of crunchy. Crunchy in a water chestnut/octopus kind of a way.

The avacado got eaten for lunch today. I’m still full from it (nearly 4 hours later). I thought it was ok, but it would have tasted better if it was guacamole. Maybe I’ll be ready to eat another one plain like that in about 3 months.

  1. I used to know a crowd that would go eat octopus when the bigwigs in the organization were in town. Me? I’ll stay away from the sushi places. :) Not really my cuppa tea. But I’m glad you had fun!

  2. my suggestion: don’t eat the avacado plain. i won’t even do that, and i’m a fruit and veggie freak. but, it’s great on sandwiches and in salads. :)
