Last night, I had the wonderful privelege of going out to a sushi restaurant. The dinner was so amazing! I’ve never had much of a taste for fish, especially of the raw variety, but it sure was delicious. The company was fabulous too.
So you will not believe some of this stuff I ate! (well maybe you will.) I got some kind of sampler and I had tuna, crab, squid, some scaly herring thing, seaweed, wasabi, and OCTOPUS. Ew! It had tentacle looking things on it. Very scary… and it was kind of crunchy. Crunchy in a water chestnut/octopus kind of a way.
The avacado got eaten for lunch today. I’m still full from it (nearly 4 hours later). I thought it was ok, but it would have tasted better if it was guacamole. Maybe I’ll be ready to eat another one plain like that in about 3 months.
I used to know a crowd that would go eat octopus when the bigwigs in the organization were in town. Me? I’ll stay away from the sushi places.
Not really my cuppa tea. But I’m glad you had fun!

my suggestion: don’t eat the avacado plain. i won’t even do that, and i’m a fruit and veggie freak. but, it’s great on sandwiches and in salads.
