I have to admit it… I like Avril Lavigne. My brother bought me her first CD as a gift. I had never heard of her, and I had never heard any of her songs (“Complicated” had just started getting radio play). I opened the CD, and I was like, “why did you get me a CD with a little girl on it?” He told me I’d like it, and I did. I haven’t gotten her new CD, but I like the stuff I’ve heard on the radio from it. The one thing I don’t like about Avril is that my voice doesn’t come close to sounding like hers. I sound pretty stupid singing along with her stuff. It’s just not quite me.
“Tell me, why’d you have to go and make things so complicated?”
It took me a long time to admit it, but I like her, too.
