How do you measure a year?

Filed under: General — stargazer @ 4:38 pm

Get this.

If my calculations are correct, something very big and very exciting is happening on Friday, October 13, 2006!!!! I am going to have a big party to celebrate too! Friday, October 13 is a great day for a party.

Can you guess what happens that day??

I’l give you a clue… The special date applies personally to me. You all have one too, but it is a different date.

I’ll give you another clue… You would have to be a Super Nerd to want to figure this out. I, being a Super Nerd, took the time to do the calculations.

Ok… I know you are dying to know now. October 13, 2006 is my 10,000th day on earth!!! Oh, I know. I am such a Nerd! But come on! It’s 10,000 days. That only happens once.

I know you are also dying to know how I figured this out. Well, I will tell you. I went to the zoo on Saturday, and I got a printout that said I was 9,224 days old. I just added two years to that and subtracted the difference from 10,000. Then I added it all up and got October 13, 2006. It’s gonna be a great 10,000th day!
