So Jason has been bugging me to get one of these Blog thingys, and I finally caved in. It seems that “everybody else has one” (according to a certain roommate of Jason’s). I didn’t want one mostly because I don’t think I really have anything to say (we’ll see about that, won’t we), and I’m afraid I’ll say something I shouldn’t, and I would like to avoid personal injury at all costs.
In the meantime, there is not much to say. I wrote a song over the weekend (it’s called State Line). As to my opinion on the song, the verdict is still out. I’m glad I have the ability to write songs, though.
What else? My guinea pig, Nala, is killing my mother. She’s allergic. I feel terrible every time I hear my mom coughing, which is all the time. I love my guinea pig. She’s soft and affectionate, which is why I got her, and she’s a good friend to me every day. But I also love my mom… sigh.
I’ve got to get to bed. Work happens on Tuesdays.

Julia, you can definitely post the Rent vs. Ragtime medley on your blog. It is truly a work of art. Maybe you could put a link to it on my site so all the curious folks can read about how Rent is really the better musical. "No day but today!"

As for the better musical, hmm. This was back in 1998, I’ve had many "new" favorite musicals come and go since then! Parade, The Last Five Years, Floyd Collins… I’d still have to say that Ragtime bests Rent however
